Cancer, Heart Attack and Stroke Insurance
What is it?
If you were diagnosed with cancer or suffered a heart attack or stroke, the last thing you would want to worry about is your finances. Cancer, Heart Attack and Stroke Insurance helps you receive the financial peace of mind that allows you to focus on what matters most – your recovery.
How does it work?
A lump-sum benefit amount is paid directly to you regardless of any other health care coverage you may have upon the diagnosis of cancer or if you suffer a heart attack or stroke. Benefit amounts are flexible and can range up to $75,000 for cancer and $75,000 for heart attack and stroke, depending on your specific needs.
Why do I need it?
53% of the costs associated with cancer are non-medical, indirect costs. Cash benefits from your policy can be used to help supplement lost income for you and your spouse, to pay for car and mortgage expenses and travel to and from medical facilities. It will also allow you to seek treatment that is out of network or not covered without worrying about costs. And, it will give you 24/7 access to Ask Mayo Clinic support services!
Some Cancer coverages are unique in that you’ll receive an additional experimental treatment benefit of 25% of your chosen lump sum amount should you undergo a qualifying experimental treatment while being treated for cancer.
After you receive your lump sum payment, your benefits may be eligible to restore with a Recurrence Benefit rider if offered.

What Is Disability Insurance?
What Is Disability Insurance?
Disability insurance provides a partial income, so you can pay your bills if you get sick or injured and unable to work. Most disabilities are not covered by Workman’s Compensation, so it’s a wise decision to get a disability insurance coverage.
Some employers will offer short- and long-term disability benefits to their employees. A short-term policy can immediately help you after an incident, and a long-term policy helps provide financial protection for disabilities that can last for years. You can also pay for additional coverage on top of the benefits you get at work, so you can get access to additional financial protection.

How It Works
How It Works
Dental plans fall into one of these categories: basic coverage and full coverage. In general, basic dental plan insurance cover preventive care, such as checkups, cleanings, X-rays, and a few basic procedures like cavity fillings.
Full plans offer a wider coverage and often at an affordable cost. For instance, they may cover a wider range of preventive procedures, such as fluoride treatment and sealants.
In addition, a full plan can cover other types of procedures:
Basic Restorative Care:
This includes fillings, extractions, and nonroutine X-rays.
Major Restorative Care:
This includes bridges, crowns, dentures, and more.
Orthodontic Treatment:
This includes braces and other types of teeth aligners.
Vision Insurance
Vision Insurance
Similar to a dental plan, a vision plan covers routine exams that are not covered by most medical plans. It also offers discounts on eyeglasses and contacts. However, many serious treatments are not usually covered since it is a part of your major medical plan. Vision insurance is also very affordable at most times.
Why Should You Get a Vision Care Plan?
Why Should You Get a Vision Care Plan?
Preventive eye care is an important part of your overall health. This is why adults and children should have an annual eye exam to test the sharpness of their vision, color blindness, presence of glaucoma, and more. An eye exam can also detect serious conditions, such as diabetes, glaucoma, and eye disease.
This coverage can also help you save on other types of eye care:
Eyewear
Glasses (frames and lenses) and contact lenses are expensive, but these are at least partially covered by vision insurance. Sometimes, even prescription sunglasses are covered.
Lens Coatings and Enhancements
There are vision insurance plans that can help with the cost of lens coatings.
Corrective Surgery
Surgeries that are deemed medically necessary. A procedure to treat an eye disease is often covered by a health insurance plan. However, a corrective surgery like LASIK is generally not covered as it is deemed to be a cosmetic surgery. There are also some vision insurance plans that will partially cover these procedures.
